Charlotte Kaplan – Wiscasset

Charlotte Kaplan is our Branch Manager and Loan Officer at our newest location in Wiscasset. Opening a new location is stressful for a business in any industry, but since we opened their doors 10-years ago, Charlotte and her staff have excelled in filling an apparent gap in southern Lincoln County amongst the communities we support.

A native to the Bath area and most impressively as a 5th generation, Charlotte was raised on a dairy farm. She helped with her family business learning the trials and tribulations of a small business owner and the need to constantly innovate to support their family.

Starting as a paralegal, Charlotte transitioned to banking 23 years ago when she started at First Federal Savings. Like other lenders on our team, she first came to this bank more than 30 years ago to meet with one of our lenders. She loved the experience, sharing that her story was heard, she was asked powerful questions about her needs and interests that helped outline a plan that would make Charlotte’s home a reality. A few years later, Charlotte jumped at the opportunity to be able to do this professionally for other people like herself in the community that she loves. If there’s one thing that’s obvious, it’s that the guidance and partnership that customers get through this process at First Federal Savings and the happiness that it creates for those people is a driving force for Charlotte every day.

With so much experience in the Midcoast community, Charlotte has found many ways to add value outside of the bank. In addition to her job, she spends her time volunteering as a Director for Friends of Seguin Island, Habitat for Humanity, and quilting for fundraising purposes such as donations to Veteran’s programs, Children’s Services and Cancer Treatment Centers.

If you’d like to meet Charlotte and see how her passion for helping customers can set you on the right path to meet your goals, call the Wiscasset branch at 207-882-6266 – We’ll make time for you.
